Welcome to Long Form Anxiety

I've created and recreated a blog multiple times at this point. I tried posting on medium for a bit. I realized though I could probably build my own blog site easily enough. Here it is!

For the nerd-curious, this is all running on NextJS, Vercel, and Neon Postgres. That's become my goto for building websites. Everything you see here was largely generated using Claude Code.

Why custom build? Well first of all, I'm paying to host a bunch of little sites, so this costs nothing extra. Most importantly though I can tune it to be exactly what I want.

For example, I have a "Scrollytelling" post type. You know those NYT articles where it's a mixed media post that you scroll through. It has text, images, animations, etc. I now have that and am working on a longer form post using it.

I should add things like share buttons and maybe comments at some point. For now though it largely works. WELCOME!
